I believe that the intended audience is both males and females. This article might attract more men because it is showing something positive about men. "It is well known that armed conflict and sexual violence against women and girls often go hand in hand. What is less widely recognized is that armed conflict and its aftermath also bring sexual danger for men and boys." (Russell, 2014) This statement actually makes it seem like this article is targeted more toward men.
