“13.4 Revisiting My Writing Process"

When I wrote about what type of writer I was in my first blog post, I stated that I was a Heavy Reviser. I still believe that I am a Heavy Reviser because I like writing down all of my ideas down on paper before editing my written piece. To me, this makes it easier to write an essay and it makes me feel less frustrated. But I also feel like I have become a Sequential Composer as well. I developed a good habit, which is writing several drafts before submitting my final draft. Also, I improved because I did not procrastinate. I started my essay weeks before the final draft was due. I truly believe that being both a Heavy Reviser and Sequential Composer will help me in the future. Both writing styles have pros and cons but I find them to be the most effective writing styles. I believe that my experience in this course will help me in the next 2/3 years, looking for a job after I graduate, and working in my job after graduation!

  1. I still think that I am a heavy reviser as well. It's good that you are able to be on top of your work and start your essays weeks in advance! Good post.

  2. We have the same progression of a heavy revisor to a sequential composer. I agree that I will probably keep my heavy revisor tendencies but the best habit I have adopted is planning and drafting.
