I was able to achieve most of the program and course goals. For the program goals, the main goals I was able to achieve include Goal #1, which is Rhetorical Awareness and Goal #3, which is Reflection and Revision. I was able to achieve goal #1 because I was able to "Learn strategies for analyzing texts’ audiences, purposes, and contexts as a means of developing facility in reading and writing." (Rodrigo, 2015) I was able to achieve this goal and one of the main reasons I was able to achieve this goal is from reading other people's drafts. Reading other people's drafts helped me improve my own essay. Also, I was able to achieve goal #3 because I was able to "Understand composing processes as flexible and collaborative, drawing upon multiple strategies and informed by reflection." (Rodrigo, 2015)
For the course goals, I was able to achieve most of them but the ones that are the most important to me are "Read texts to assess how writers achieve their purposes with their intended audiences" (Rodrigo, 2015), and "Locate and analyze evidence to develop an argument" (Rodrigo, 2015). I was able to achieve the first course goal because I knew how they (the people draft's I peered reviewed) achieved their purposes with their intended audiences. They used many credible sources, quotes, etc to get their message across to their audience. I was able to achieve goal #3 because I was able to find and analyze all of the evidence to develop a strong argument. I was able to find credible sources and strong/meaningful quotes, which made my essay very persuading.
