12.4 Reflection on Project 3 Draft.

                                Peer Review Project #3

I peer reviewed the following people's drafts: Chris Gentry and Oscar Acosta

1. What was the purpose and audience of your original paper? How successfully did it achieve that purpose and reach that audience?

The purpose of my original paper was to inform the audience that women are not the only victims of sexual violence. Women are always perceived as the "innocent victims" while men are perceived as the perpetrators but that is not always the case. I wrote this paper to prove that women being the only victims of sexual violence is just a misconception.

2. Why are you revising this paper?

I am revising this paper because I want to make my essay more persuading. I want more people to understand and change their mindset (that women are not the only victims of sexual violence.)

3. Whom are you revising for?

I am revising for my audience and for myself. I am revising this paper for my audience because I want it to be more persuading so that more people would change their mindset (So more people would not think women are the only victims of sexual violence). I am going to do this by adding more to my essay besides using multiple rhetorical strategies such as credibility, logic, and emotion. I am also revising this for myself since I want it to be even better than the original paper!

4. How will the following aspects of your paper change?

Length- I will add more to my essay especially my body paragraph, which will make my essay longer and more detailed.

Format- I am going to organize my essay better. This means that I am going to have an introduction paragraph, 3-4 body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph.

Appearance- I am going to add visuals/images to my essay, which will capture the audience's attention and make my essay more appealing to the eye.

Use of Evidence- I am going to use more quotes from different credible sources.

Introduction and Conclusion- I am going to be more detailed for both my introduction and conclusion paragraph. I need to add more to my conclusion paragraph because it is rather short in length.

Structure of your argument- It is important to address both sides of the argument. I need to address the other side as well. I also need to make my argument more persuading and emphasize the possible solutions to this controversy.

Depth of your argument- I need to use more credible sources and express my opinion more. This will make my essay more persuading.

  1. I think that you are on the right track. By adding more credible sources it will indeed help persuade your audience. Good post!
